What happened the day before school went back.

It has been a long day, and after this I am for bed! Tomorrow is the beginning of the "back to school" week. They are going off in stages, and of course one isn't going anywhere at all but that is another story all together. I am sooooooo looking forward to the house being my own again, but it brings with it early mornings, fights about bed times and homework.... you know what I mean.

The day started with a trip to the PS to pay fee's and collect books. Then a couple of hours at mum's church helping her with a morning tea for a funeral. Then home to CHAOS! GGRRR

Packed some parcels, had a little rest, cooked some dinner, stitched some Yo Yo's. Am now supervising DD1 who is covering JJ's books. That in it's self has been a drama. JJ insisted it needed to be finished BEFORE she went to bed and that just wasn't happening. Then she started having a fit about being afraid of the older kids in her class (she is in a composite class this year) Sigh! One tired chicken, who is a little overwhelmed by the first day of school me thinks.

I hope by the weekend I will be able to post some pics of projects, LOL. But things may be even more chaotic! Who knows.......

Look at this...........

I just wanted to show you how clever my baby is!! I was working on my punchneedle project from the Glen Harrow Stitch In when JJ asked, "Can I do one mum??" I was a little worried about the tool, being so sharp, but also knew I would not get any peace till she was stitching!! So we found a pic from a colouring book and set her up and this is the result.

Finished Fishy

All finished!!! Looks good me thinks!! We have enough fabric for about another 4, I just hate the stuffing part.(anyone want to volunteer to stuff them for me??)

I am a little tired today, haven't slept well the last 2 nights AND i have been Fabric Frolicking today. Nerinda, Nicole and I hit 5 of the nine shops in one session. Cant quite believe it! Only 4 more to go. It was a lovely day, with once again the Patchwork Teahouse being the yummiest place to visit. Can't beat scones with homemade raspberry jam and cream. There was also some yummy patchwork fabric, LOL.  I have designed a quilt on my EQ, that I hope will turn out ok, and I am collecting fabric for it on the frolic.  Will show and tell when there is something to show, which might be a while yet.

I am lying on the couch with my feet up, they are a little sore. I really really want to sew, but........ maybe I will try a little later! BFN

What I did today, well yesterday really!!

Firstly you may ask why I am still up. TENNIS is the answer, but I don't think I am going to last the whole match. And also been waiting for a teenager to come home. All the chicks are in the nest now so I am having one last cup of tea and then I am going to bed.

Today has been a very very long day! Was up early to head round to Mum & Dad's to help with a garage sale. Came home with my sister and her 4 kids (and mine made 8 kids here in total, well no not 8 I think with the neighbourhood kids that wandered in we had about 11 !!) We spent the next hour or so putting the lovely fella pictured above together. He shall be a gift for a friend of my sisters. The pattern is from Melly & Me and is called Fab Fishy I think and was featured in a Magazine recently. I have just finished stuffing him, and all he needs now is side fins and eye dots. I will post a pic of him all finished ready to go tomorrow, well later today! LOL.

I have also just spent some time setting up my Etsy shop! I am itching to get stitching so I can get things listed! Will keep you updated on that.

DD2 has started another project today. ( After she finished her first needle punch project last week). I found a pattern online for a dragon that you make with Suffolk Puffs (lots and lots of them). So I set her up today with the awesome Clover Yo Yo maker and she started what is going to be a very arduous task. I will post a pic of both of her projects shortly.

I think that is all for tonight!! Cheers

Here they are!!

Well here they are finally. I am so pleased with the way they turned out . They really were very quick to make, the decoration was the most time consuming part. I posted them off to Christina Henri just before Christmas, so hopefully that means she received them before the New Year. (I think I will email and check! LOL)

Now back to my other projects!!
