So do you wanna know what I got for my birthday??
My parents took me out for lunch, with my sister and a couple of buddies. That was a lovely treat and the kids then cooked dinner. I still did the dishes but hey you cant have it all. I have some pics of my gifts but I forgot to put everything in! LOL What is not pictured is my super red iPod shuffle, and my CD by Duffy. Here is a pic of the Froggy bookmark, Cake Stand, Pandora Bracelet and box of chocs. The cake stand is so cool, it has different chocolate desserts pictured around the edge.
Here is a close up of the Pandora. I received the bracelet and 3 charms for Mothers Day. ( From the right they are a bible, a cross and a cup & Saucer.) The new charms are (from the left) a little frog, my birth stone charm and a tiny teapot (it is super special as it has gold on it).
Here is a close up of the amazing bookmark my sister gave me. It is metal with a tiny glass frog on the end. I think I am too scared to use it, I would be sad if he broke.
And then from my dear friend Nic, an amazing apron. Very retro in style, made from one of my favourite Thimbleberries fabrics. She has done an awesome job with all the bias binding. Thanks again, I really do love it.

Today is my DH's 40th birthday, and he is stuck in Q'land working!! But we will cook him a lovely birthday dinner when he gets home tomorrow. Then my baby turns 11 on Monday, yes 3 of us in 4 days. But it doesnt end there. Today is also my sisters husbands birthday, (his 40th also) and on Sunday is another brother in laws birthday AND his son, (my nephew) on the same day. So that is 6 members of our immediate family celebrating in a 4 day period!! FUN!

Pay It Forward Gang!!
I am very excited, I now have some people signed up for my PIF. Now normally there is space for 3, but I had 4 people sign up within minutes of each other and I cant bare to leave 1 out. And as I am the giver of the gifts, I am the maker of MY OWN rules for my PIF. So 4 it is, and they are:
Jasmine
Ozjane
SueBK
Pamela
So now ladies I need you to email me (as all of your comments came through no-reply). If you go to my profile there is an email link. I will need your posting address, and email address, I guess for obvious reasons. LOL. I will let you know when something is on the way.

Ta Da!!!
Well I am heading to bed, and I think I deserve it. Not only have I progressed the QAYG to only needing the binding, but I have completed the next phase of the Bee's Knee's Quilt top! I now just have to rustle up some border fabric. Will work on that tomorrow, as I think I am going to have to source it from O.S.
Night night!!
Hooray!!

Miles and Miles of Binding
Well maybe not miles and miles but certainly metres and metres. What a chore it would have been without my trusty 1" bias maker from clover. What you see piled before you is the cover strips for the QAYG I started on Mrs Martins Quilt Camp; yes I am going to finish it and the plan is for it to be done by tonight. Maybe not the binding, as the pattern calls for a wavey edge and I am not sure whether I want to do that or not. I also have plans for the rest of the Chelsea Boutique fabric and there was no way to judge accurately if I would have enough for my next project without finishing the QAYG first; didnt want to leave myself short. Show you the finished item SOON.

Pay it Forward
Here is how it works:
BFN
This is the Pay It Forward Exchange. It’s based of the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on. So here’s how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on the blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
I look forward to creating something special for the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post. Good Luck.BFN
A few months back I was lucky enough to be one of the 3 to sign up for "Pay it Forward" offered by Sandra of Foothills Fabric & Threads. Today I got a parcel, from Sandra, with my lovely gift. I am very pleased, the bag is EXACTLY fabrics and colours I would have chosen myself. Thank you Sandra, so much. This has been fun, and now it is my turn.
